CNMI Small Business Development Center Network Welcomes Charlene Manglona Ogo as Rota SBDC’s Director/Business Advisor
The CNMI Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network is excited to announce the appointment of Charlene Manglona Ogo as the Director/Business Advisor for the Rota Small Business Development Center. This significant milestone comes after an extensive search and persistent efforts to fill the vacant position, a challenge due to the Service Center’s remote location and its scarcity of qualified applicants.
Charlene Manglona Ogo brings with her a wealth of educational and entrepreneurial experience. She holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Phoenix and has been a successful entrepreneur since 2021. Charlene’s business, Sweet7Oh!, specializing in custom baked goods and desserts, has garnered a loyal customer base and widespread acclaim in the community.
“I am incredibly honored and excited to join the CNMI SBDC Network as the Director/Business Advisor for the Rota SBDC,” said Ogo. “I look forward to using my experience and passion for business to support and guide local entrepreneurs in Rota, helping them achieve their goals and contribute to our vibrant community.”
CNMI SBDCN Network Director, Nadine C. Deleon Guerrero also expressed enthusiasm for Charlene’s appointment, “Charlene’s entrepreneurial background and academic achievements make her an excellent fit for the Rota SBDC. Her dedication and innovative mindset will undoubtedly benefit our clients and further the mission of our Network as we look forward to delivering services to our island community in Rota.”
The Rota SBDC has been under the capable leadership of Diana Benavente Hocog, Executive Director of the NMC Rota Center, who has served as the Rota Service Center’s acting director. Her stewardship has been instrumental in maintaining the Center’s operations and supporting local businesses during this transitional period. The CNMI SBDC Network extends a depth of gratitude to Mrs. Hocog for her hard work and dedication to the program.
