CNMI SBDC Network reveals its first Speaker Profile in its Presenter Series leading to the 2024 Friends of Business Summit: CyberTech Edition
(Saipan, CNMI) The CNMI Small Business Development Center Network is excited to share its release of announcing the first of its many speakers who will be gracing our business, education and senior leadership communities alike at the highly anticipated 2024 Friends of Business Summit: CyberTech Edition event happening Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan. The summit promises a day of tech innovation, insightful presentations, and networking opportunities for businesses and government agencies across the Commonwealth.
Joshua Cook, Owner of Pacific Pact, will discuss how technology can make or break an organization in the first of its morning breakout sessions through a presentation titled “Innovate or Die: Utilizing Information Technology to Improve Modern Day Workflow Strategies.”
About the Breakout Session:
It’s difficult to change with technology when it can cause chaos or waste time. In this session, participants will be taken on an exploratory journey on big misunderstandings and misconceptions about technology, especially software changes. Our esteemed presenter will dive into knowing how to decipher an organization’s needs and help confidently plan next steps to evolve with technology.
Additionally, make your organization’s technology shift bulletproof by learning:
- How to prepare at the management level
- Choosing the right software
- Good vs. Great project management
- Preparing the team
- Supporting the changes
By the end of this session, attendees will be better equipped with knowledge related to measuring technology ROI while sitting through information-sharing on hardships and triumphs experienced from CNMI’s enterprise software projects – what worked and what didn’t; but most importantly, why?
This session is ideal for businesses or organizations who are looking to transition or upgrade from their current software or enterprise systems to an alternative solution or, for anyone interested in learning more on how to best manage and utilize technology through taking a closer look at their team’s needs, capacity, and gaps within their business or organization.
About our Presenter:
Joshua Cook is a husband, father and businessman with a personal mission to significantly change lives through the use of technology and strategic implementation methods. With over twelve years of experience in the tech space, and thirteen in project management experience with international and remote teams, Cook has successfully built two businesses while continuing to procure existing ones. Cook merges them with his portfolio or scales them by integrating new technology. He is currently helping the CNMI government and private businesses solve large problems with process improvement, technology solutions and change management. Fun fact: Cook helped preserve a National Monument through a Presidential Proclamation.
About the CyberTech Summit:
The 2024 Friends of Business Summit: Cybertech Edition is an SBDC signature event that aims to bring together the private and public sectors across the Commonwealth. This year, the SBDC is taking the Summit on a tech space journey through exploring the latest technological advances that can propel leaders in business, education and central government into the digital age. This training opportunity and tradeshow event will be open to all current and future SBDC clients at no-cost; however, pre-registration will be required. Due to limited seating, clients who do not have a confirmed reservation will not be admitted.
Join us as we offer training opportunities where areas in Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, smartphone usage, technological advancement in the workplace and education, and implementation of technological systems in governmental operations will be topics of discussion lead by both local and national industry experts.
