The CNMI Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the Northern Marianas College in partnership with the Office of the Guam Procurement and Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) hosted an Introduction to Federal Opportunities training on Monday, January 30, 2023 on the island of Tinian and on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 on the island of Saipan.
At the training, participants learned how to be HubZone and Woman-owned certified and how to register in the System for Award Management (SAM). Obtaining certifications in these areas will allow for local small businesses to conduct business with the federal government as well as gain an advantaged status when bidding for federal projects.
The training was conducted by Guam PTAC Program Manager Boris Hertslet, and attended by clients of the SBDC who are in search of opportunities to do business with the federal government.
