(CNMI SBDC Network) As cyber attacks continue to escalate, particularly affecting critical government agencies and businesses in the Marianas, the call for proactive action to implement robust cybersecurity measures has never been more apparent, and more urgent. In light of this pressing need, the CNMI Small Business Development Center Network is honored to announce Herman M. Kintol, Owner of KRS Cyberworx, a leading cybersecurity firm, as its distinguished speaker for the morning general session at the upcoming 2024 Friends of Business: Cybertech Edition Summit. The event will take place on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan from 8AM to 5PM.

Scheduled to present on “Understanding Cybersecurity Defense: Mitigating Risks on the Offense,” Herman M. Kintol brings over 14 years of extensive experience in the tech space to the table. His cybersecurity and project management expertise are poised to offer invaluable insights into the intricacies of cybersecurity defense, particularly tailored to best practices for individuals seeking to fortify their defenses against cyber threats at minimal cost.

About Our Presenter:

Herman M. Kintol has over fourteen years of experience working in the tech space including IT network administration, cybersecurity management and technical project management. Prior to rejoining the private sector, Kintol was the IT & Communications Manager and the Statewide Interoperability Coordinator (SWIC), under the CNMI Office of Homeland Security & Emergency Management. During his time with HSEM, he completed the agency’s first Nationwide Cybersecurity Review (NCSR) through the Center for Internet Security (CIS) and Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC). Kintol is certified across the following globally-recognized organizations: ISC2, CompTIA and CISCO where he holds the following professional certifications: ISC2 CISSP, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco CCNA, CCNP, and CCNA Security. Kintol is proud to be part of the company behind developing the CNMI’s first CyberSecurity Incident Response Plan (CIRP) for one of the CNMI’s most critical government agencies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems Security with ITT Technical Institute out of Boise, Idaho. Fun Fact: Kintol serves on the Saipan Baseball League’s Board of Directors, and is the current CNMI’s Secretary General to the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Oceania.
